Geminate Beta Chapter

William Paterson University

Geminate Beta Chapter, the second chapter of Lambda Tau Omega Sorority, Inc., was founded in 1988 on the mountains of William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ. Since their inception the founder, Teissy Meza, Nora Rodriguez and Bernice Toledo, have created a foundation of relentless determination, community activism and empowerment for all.

Each year, the WPU Mermaids continue to impact their campus by hosting award-winning programs and events, empowering children and womyn in their surrounding communities, while maintaining the highest standards for academic excellence and unity amongst their peers. Today, more than ever, Geminate Beta Chapter carries on the legacy of their founders with close bonds with their alumnae, leading Lambda Tau Omega Sorority, Inc. in execute and national positions and teaching the new generation of sisters the traditions and values of their chapter and Sisterhood.
