Xpedieenth Xi Chapter

Fairleigh Dickinson University

The expansion process of opening a chapter at Fairleigh Dickinson University began in 2004 by a large group of womyn who wanted to bring more cultural awareness and independence to the FDU campus community. These womyn wanted a prestigious organization that would not only allow them to be part of a professional group of women; but also the opportunity to join a TRUE sisterhood.

Only a select few felt that the time was right to pursue membership within Lambda Tau Omega Sorority, Inc. As days and weeks passed by the birth of Xpedieenth Xi Chapter was earned by Founding Sister Carla Salazar in Spring 2005. The profound love Carla had for her Sisters and new chapter sparked an interested in the heart of her little sister Daniela Salazar. In the Fall of 2005, Daniela transferred from FDU’s Madison Campus to their Metropolitan Campus in order to partake in the pledging process. Subsequently, the solo Beta line of Xi Chapter was born.

With the strength and support of each other, Xpedieenth Xi Chapter became a force to be reckoned with on campus. Quality over quantity resonated loud enough to earn Carla and Daniela an “official chapter” welcome from the InnerGreek Council---something that is unheard of in many other colleges since the requirements to establish a chapter include 10+ active members.

The spirit of Xpedieenth Xi Chapter lived on and brought about hope in Spring 2011; when Diane Sosa dove into the Royal Blue Seas. The solo Gamma line of Xi Chapter was born. Xpedieenth Xi is the 14th chapter of Lambda Tau Omega Sorority, Inc. and will abolish all myths that one is the loneliest number. This chapter was founded on April 10th, 2005 and upholds all principles and values that make the chapters of Lambda Tau Omega Sorority, Inc. successful and respected.
