Lambda Tau Omega Sorority, Inc. National Blue Ribbon Campaign

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Email: publicrelations@lambdatauomega.org

Approximately 3 million children will be the victims of child abuse and neglect this year, and thousands of children will be affected right here in New Jersey. Lambda Tau Omega Sorority, Incorporated is dedicating April 2007 to the Blue Ribbon Campaign, as April is recognized as Child abuse Awareness month.

Sisters from our 15 chapters nationwide are putting their fins to work to fundraise for every battered child in America. They will be hosting events and programs to educate their campus communities about this epidemic; they will be volunteering their time by visiting battered children at local shelters and continue their national fundraiser with the selling of blue ribbons and wristbands.

Last year, Lambda Tau Omega was able to raise $900 towards the cause. This year we hope to exceed that. Our goal is to raise $1600.

So how can you help? You can do anything from purchasing a blue ribbon or wristband from any sister, donating your loose change, and attending the events and learning more about this national campaign. You can go to www.preventchildabusenj.com to learn more about what you can do to help the cause, or help an endangered child.

One person may not be able to save the world...but one person can save a child. Think about how many children we can save together.
